A REMEMBRANCE

You may recall a previous blog on the 7^th February 2011, only the the 6^th entry, entitled STILL GOING STRONG. Of the three centenarians I mentioned, I am ashamed to confess that I missed reporting on the death of Ms Barabara Kent, born 16^th December 1907, who died on the 13^th October 2011 aged 103. I also missed celebrating the birthday of another, Ms. Carla Laemmle, born 20^th October 1909, still going strong at 102. Luise Rainer was the third and will be celebrating her 102^nd birthday on the 12^th January next year. She is still the oldest living double Oscar winner as Best Actress for her roles in 1937 and 1938, for The Great Ziegfeld and The Good Earth.
