As much as any 'one', I find it difficult to ignore much of what Heidegger's writing has performed, but the performer remains an enigma. I cannot understand how someone with his method of thought could have embraced racism or prejudice of any kind. Human all too human is not sufficient an explanation in my view. Was it merely a matter of culture? I cannot understand it. Still it fascinates:
